How was Acromunity developed?

The content contained within Acromunity.com has been conceived, developed and fine-tuned with input from those living with acromegaly.

Ipsen would like to thank the healthcare professionals who have reviewed and provided valuable insight into the content of the website.

We would also like to thank all of the patients and their families who have helped to develop this website and who have shared their experiences, agreed to be filmed, provided their feedback, and suggested practical tips to us.

What information does the site contain?

Acromunity provides general information about acromegaly including the causes of acromegaly and where to find the pituitary gland and describes possible acromegaly symptoms to help set people on their way to a correct diagnosis sooner.

Within the site there is information about the diagnosis and treatment of acromegaly, and practical tips and advice on how to adapt to life after a diagnosis of acromegaly.

Throughout the site you can watch videos of people living with acromegaly and hear them describe their acromegaly journey.

There are also answers to some common questions about acromegaly and links to patient support groups where you can find out more information about acromegaly and perhaps be put in contact with someone in a similar situation to you.
